Talienilor Road DJ209B, Stânisoara Pass
DJ209B, popularly known as “Drumul Talienilor” or “The Italians’ Road,” is a historic and scenic mountain route that winds through the Stânișoara Mountains, connecting the counties of Neamț and Suceava. Originally built between 1902 and 1914 during the reign of King Carol I, the road earned its nickname from the Italian craftsmen who constructed it. Recent modernization efforts have transformed DJ209B into a safer and more accessible route, with upgrades nearing completion as of early 2025. Beyond its practical role, the road is poised to become a major tourist attraction, offering breathtaking views and historical resonance.
